Ride system

Say I want to make a ride in ZDoom, one that can be boarded any time like an Omnimover, goes along a specified track, and disembarks the player at the appropriate point. Preferably I should like to be able to look around in the ride vehicle in a 180° circle. How would I achieve this with what we have?

What about the moving 3d platform actor by FishyClockwork?
