Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!

If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.

We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

Palette mod not working in GZDoom

Post by rparhkdtp »

Hi guys
Palette mod not working in GZDoom (demake shader, marifx etc)
I am using version 4.8.2, my computer is a potato computer called GMK Nucbox S, I use Intel integrated graphics UHD 600 - J4125
I touched a lot of settings to optimize my GZDoom settings for me.
However, egypt_5 or d64palette etc will work!
What am I missing?

It looks like you are using the GLES backend which does not support postprocessing shaders for performance reasons.

Intel UHD 600 supports OpenGL 4.4. Performance is another story, but it's still worth comparing OpenGL with GLES using the latest drivers.

Thanks fixed it!
I just changed OpenGLES to OpenGL in screen settings and restarted.
I'm afraid I'm ignorant of the software to do a comparison experiment.
(I'm not even updating Windows 11 because I'm afraid to touch the bios lol)
When I get through memorial.wad with noclip I can see the frame drop more than the ES in my eyes.
But I'm happy to be able to use shaders
thanks for all replies :D
