Hey m8f, got a REALLY weird question for you.

How hard would it be to have an option on the weapon wheel where the right stick inputs can be read if they're set to turn/look but the mouse is NOT read?

Asking because this mod would make weapon selection in GZDoomVR absolutely amazing if you could disable mouse reading (it parses the VR headset's looking angle as mouse input) but still allow right stick reading.

I don't know if anyone asked this already?
but is there a way when you open the weapon wheel it,
theres more then just freeze enemies and player,
But able to have the weapon wheel not only have freeze
but instead make every go into bullet-time style slowmo instead?
like everything slows down,
ad a choice by by 10, 20, 30, etc, to 90 percent slowmo effect?

Hi can u create an horizontal version for people who use ""always mouselook" like me
Horizontal mouse look only is more charming, it also makes older wads and (mods without alt zoom weapons) feel better for me
Edit : i wanted to write "always mouselook off"

I'm afraid that I'd need some external help with that, because I don't have VR hardware.

Implementing bullet-time in GZDoom is not a trivial idea. Simple time freeze is maximum what I agree to include in Gearbox. You can try combining Gearbox with existing bullet-time mods.

Don't forget the possibility to active or disable it in the gearbox option to make it more comfortable
I very want to play gearbox with no free mouse look/always mouselook off

I think there is no need to make this an option. I should be able to detect if player has freelook and change the wheel selection behavior accordingly.

Try using it in conjunction with this mod, although probably you will need to first activate the slow-mo effect ingame and then open the wheel. Haven't tested it.

Yes yes i know i play doom since 2002 (20 years of experience)
i just want the more more convenient/comfortable/faster ways to select weapons and items..and help a little your mods too and people who prefer no freelook !

I'm sure he meant using gearbox via the Next/Previous weapon keys. As in if you press one, it will freeze time (if you have that enabled) and show the wheel/blocks/text depending on which you chose.

Hey M8f is there some way we could see bucket styled layout inverted as an option to allow those wanting HL style weapon buckets. currently you start at the bottom of the bucket and make your way up rather than starting at the top and working your way down like in HL. great mod works pretty good with HD.

- crash on Delta Touch with GLES 3.2 caused by blur shader.

Update! v0.7.2.

Changes since v0.7.1:

Options for Half-Life-like behavior, brought to you by Carrascado:
- separate entry for menu closing sound (still the same in base Gearbox, but moddable);
- reversed slot cycle order;
- option to select first slot weapon.

Fixed:
- toggle and tick sound playing at the same time (Carrascado);
- inventory/weapon menus now cannot be opened if there is no items/weapons, with sound (Carrascado, m8f);
- ellipsis in blocks view is replaced by three dots for fonts that don't have ellipsis (m8f).

holy shit, i wish this could hook in to delta touch's weapon swap buttons now

Very nice update. As a "blocks" user, most of the new options are quite subtle, but really add to the usability and customisability of the Gearbox. Thank you.
