Re: Protocol: Disposable - (Don't Fear) the Reaper (05/02/20
This is super fun and definitely fills a niche that I don't think I've seen in a while. Really enjoy the sprite work! My only feedback would be that the weapon sounds are a little wimpy and some of the damage/balance feels off (mostly agree with Spaceman333 here). I look forward to seeing this develop more!

Re: Protocol: Disposable - Not Dead Yet
Man, it's been a while.
Time for an update!
I don't plan on adding more stuff to the mod, since the point always was to make a more restrained and grounded arsenal, but i do plan on updating and maintaining this for the time being.
I have been thinking of a weapons addon, Nightmare Logic style, but that's still up in the air. One day, maybe.
Still, here be changes:
- Fixed a BRIGHT frame on a few melee attacks.
- New Five-Seven firing sound, and Doom-style first shot accuracy.
- Fixed rocket ammo spawns only dropping Magnum boxes.
- Added P90 Zoom kick.
- Alternate ammo types have a small chance of spawning in big shell, rocket and cell ammo pickups.
- All items and ammo pickups tagged properly.
- Cell pickups have a random chance of dropping 20mm grenades
- Small damage boost on both P90 and Five-Seven.
I think that's it. Thanks for enjoying the mod!

Neat, good updates.
No mention of FLASH buffs tho. Would need blast radius/damage increase or anything related to making it great against larger crowds given how rare it is, so its still only best reserved for boss kills.

The FLASH is fine. It already deals 500 damage with 200 range, and leaves flaming debris on the ground.
Unless you're playing slaughtermaps with it, it should take care of anything.
Quick update:
-Restored old RIPD behaviour.
-Fixed shell box spawn issue.

Glad to be of service, Loss! Thanks for the opportunity.

It is, check the first post of the thread - the video is in case you want to listen the music pack when you're not playing. Also nets me a little exposure, of course.Linz wrote: *snip*

Re: Protocol: Disposable - Music Pack out now!
There's no pk3 for the music pack linked on the main post. It's just a rar file containing the mp3s for all the songs.

The link you want is the one labeled PD: Standard.DoomStoreroom wrote:There's no pk3 linked on the main post. It's just a rar file containing the mp3s for all the songs.

It is, literally, in the OP post above the showcase video:DoomStoreroom wrote:That's the main mod. I'm talking about the music pack.

Re: Protocol: Disposable - Music Pack out now!
I believe thats the .rar file with mp3s in it they mentioned earlier. There seems to be no link that leads to a music pack file that can be loaded into the game, just this .rar containing the music filesRastaManGames wrote:It is, literally, in the OP post above the showcase video:DoomStoreroom wrote:That's the main mod. Re: Protocol: Disposable - Music Pack out now!
That's right. The music pack is excellent so it would be great for it to play in-game. For now I guess just having them play in the background is enough. Playing the mod with this music in the background greatly enhances the immersion.Whoah wrote:I believe thats the .rar file with mp3s in it they mentioned earlier.
