I can help test, I have a decently high end setup and can provide feedback for the higher difficulties.ReformedJoe wrote:@all thanks for the interest/kind words.
More generally, if anyone is interested in testing this let me know in this thread or via PM.

I think what I'll do is put the first map up for testing once all the loose ends are tied up. Then calibrate the difficulty from the results and look into any performance issues that arise.
Well into the 2nd map now, aiming for 3-4 maps. Not sure yet. Might even be more.
Here's some shots from an area in the 2nd map:

Stunning. Really looking forward to this.
Those shots look less sci-fi and more traditional architecture. Not a complaint. Merely an observation.

Here's a quick new video showing some of the features that are integrated into the set so far.
Keypads can have a code set manually, but most of the ones you find will have a randomly generated code. PDAs can provide some world detail or hints towards the location of a secret area. They can also be dynamically linked with a keypad to display the keypads code.
Anyway work is continuing. I'm putting the final touches on map 1, should be ready for testing in a week or two.

Thanks. The area is meant to be commercial/recreational and thus the sci-fi stuff is concealed as much as possible. But it's still there if you look around.Enjay wrote:...

Here are a few new shots.
Spoiler:Just sanding off some rough edges on map01 and making sure nothing breaks (too much) with various mods. Solved a bunch of overlaps with actor and sprite names but there's no way I'll be able to account for every possible case.

Very intriguing, indeed. Probably will try to play this with NeoCore first, even if I'm a bit of a sucker for HDest. Would be neat to see how the combat unfolds with some of the larger areas with the plenty sightlines.

I'm up for testing this map with hideous destructor if you need any more testers.

Re: Lunar Strike (WIP build style sci-fi map set)
Thanks all.
Here's a brief new gameplay vid, again with NeoCore:
I'm still planning on testing soon. I decided to wait until I was done with the 2nd map since it was pretty well advanced, and it's sitting at 99% right now. So the test will involve 2 maps now. Huzzah. I'll be reaching out to people on an individual basis likely sometime next weekend, or the one after if issues arise.
As a sidenote I'm thinking about cleaning up the PDA and keypad system and releasing it as a separate resource. Intended as a simple solution for those who don't want to bootstrap their own system or to spin up a new instance of zforms or use Nashs PDA kit just to show some text on a screen.
