some modern enemies with a more uniform look, couple of different versions so people can use color translation on various parts if wanted. Not perfect and could use stronger shading but will do.
spoilered for way too many images
Spoiler:
Credits.

female base- DavidRaven, Mryayayify, Aleena from fct_skins_v8a

[quote="giwake"]I've been experimenting with making sprites out of photographed models for a little bit now, and I think this is a pretty decent result.

And here's the original model, made out of plasticine and wire. I'm not the best sculptor but I think it looks okay when downscaled.

Im doing something similair, though without the clay.
I dont think im great at sprite art, and this thread really pounded that fact home.
So i do lateral thinking!
I usually do rough 3d design, and can print them up, though with this guy I'm gonna create a digital stage with fixed cameras.
I have the skeleton finally set on this 30 minute sculpt, and I'm gonna see if I can make a fat/slow gatling gunner that shoots homing flies.
The decorate is loosely done, and then i fell into this rabbit hole.

Looks like a great base for spritework for me.

I guess the only concern for me is that it is longer than it is wide. This can cause problems because Doom actors are always square when viewed from above. Although, the legs are splayed out quite far so maybe it is quite square after all.

Very impressive and detailed stuff there. The metal parts of it looks shiny and that's great!

A cleaned up render of some Marvel character. Supposedly a Venom type character. After removing the venom symbol it works nicely as a vampire knight character.
