GZSprFix 2.0 (Revenant100's sprite fixes repacked for GZDoom)
(image stolen from Revenant100's thread)
DOWNLOAD!
A conversion of Revenant100's Doom Minor Sprite Fixing Project and Heretic Minor Sprite Fixing into a single, GZDoom-compatible mod.
First of all, this mod repacks the 2 mods mentioned above into one file, utilizing GZDoom's filter folder feature so that only the relevant files will get applied depending on the IWAD game you are running. For example: the Heretic fixes won't be applied if you're playing the Doom games; or the Doom 2 fixes won't be applied if you're playing Doom 1, etc. What this means for the user is that they can just have this single mod loaded globally for all games without any potential issues arising from wrongly-loaded lumps.
Secondly, I have converted the Dehacked patches from Doom Sprite Fix into ZScript.
Lastly, since this mod is meant for GZDoom, I've merged in my widescreen versions of Doom's HELP* graphics, but only attaching the side extensions to the Sprite Fix versions of the graphics. In other words, the center of the HELP* graphics are from Sprite Fix (so they include the cleaned-up pixels), but the sides are from WidePix (my widescreen graphics project that ships with GZDoom starting from v4.5.0 onwards).
Misc notes:
- The super shotgun sprites are actually from GZDoom's game_widescreen_gfx.pk3, but with the fixed offsets from SPRFIX20.
- The widescreen Heretic fixes from HRSPFX10 have been ommitted, in favor of GZDoom's own widescreen fixes included in game_widescreen_gfx.pk3.
- For brightmaps, use NightFright's Brightmaps Plus mod!

No, it's based off the official 1.9 release. I will only update GZSprFix to 2.0 when Revenant100 releases a non-beta version of his mod.

That's a perfect package, many thanks for it.
Any chance of Hexen sprites being included with the package as well?

also, may I ask your opinion on Rev's considerations about converting the dehacked patches to zscript?

Re: GZSprFix 2.0 (Revenant100's sprite fixes repacked for GZDoom)
Does this include the compatibility patches for PWADs that Revenant100 included?

Re: GZSprFix 2.0 (Revenant100's sprite fixes repacked for GZDoom)
No, because there are no mechanics in GZDoom to automatically filter loaded assets based on what PWADs you have loaded.

Hey Nash, are you up for including texture/patch fixes in here? There's this old one I did for the Plutonia skull switch, and I have some assorted ones (mostly for Heretic) I've had in my own autoloads for some time.

Damn, seems like I missed this reply. Yes, I'd be interested in incorporating these with your permission.NeuralStunner wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 1:08 pm Hey Nash, are you up for including texture/patch fixes in here? Does this recognize the WadSmoosh IWAD? Or is it only for the original IWADs?
