Dark Passenger is a weapon and items mod inspired by Dusk and 90s Build Engine games.
I started working on this mod over a year ago when I had the idea to recreate the weapons from Dusk using Blood sprites, with some creative liberties that I took along the way.
It includes 10 new weapons, several with alt-fires, weapon upgrades, inventory items and a powerup system.
The weapons can be divided into two categories: human weapons and demonic weapons.
Human weapons were made to look old and worn out, you won't be playing with any high-tech plasma rifles here but with guns that look like that were stolen from the cold dead hands of a rotting corpse.
Demonic weapons are fueled by unholy energy and either function with their own separate resource or use the soul of your dead enemies as ammo.

For as long as Fin could remember he was part of the cult, he had no memories of his past or even who his parents where.
From an early age he worked for the cult, lived for the cult and always knew that one day he would die for the cult.
This belief lead him to become the strongest among his peers, the most devoted to the cause and the least hesitant to kill.
Their leader spoke of a land known as Makai, a place where their people would be delivered from all suffering and live in an eternal painless bliss.
Through his killings Fin acquired the cursed Necronomicon along with enough sacrifices to throw open the gates to the elysium he was promissed.
When the time came to perform the ritual none seemed more worthy to pass first through the portal into paradise then Fin.
But when he stepped through the gate what he found was a land ravaged by demons and monsters.
Did his leader lie to him? Was this the reward for all of his efforts?
No, this was just part of his duty, though he may be alone he will carry on the dogma of his faith. RID THE WORLD OF EVIL

You can kick and throw your shovel like a javelin while holding any of your weapons.
All of the weapons can have their animations shortened by switching to another weapon.
Your starting pistol can be dual wielded after finding a Backpack.
If you loose your shovel but still finish the current map you will receive a new one at the beginning of the next one.
The crossbow is the only weapon that needs to be reloaded(Alt-fire) to compensate for its lack of ammo, fully depleting it will result in a longer cooldown.
The Unmaker can be upgraded by finding its runes which replace the Blur Sphere.
The Necronomicon is charged by killing enemies based of their max health, thus enemies with more health will give you a bigger percentage.
TO DO LIST

1)Add a secondary fire for the unmaker.
2)Make the necronomicon more user-friendly with some kind of powerup wheel, akin to GunCaster. 3)Add a final powerup that you unlock by meeting some specific conditions.
4)Add another way to retrieve your shovel without having to finish a level.
5)Make the code less convoluted.

11/01/2022 Update
A small update aimed at general polish and quality of life changes.
-All the mod keybinds have been grouped together under the "Dark Passenger" section inside the control menu
-Some of the sprites for the shovel have been changed to make them more uniform among each other
-Added one more frame to the Unmaker idle animation to make it more smooth
Bumping this to say two things: This is rock solid! Always good to see mods going for a vintage/magic vibe! I like what i see so far, i can only wait to see what is coming next.
Second, found some old files related to Aracnocide and i would like to ask you to put YukesVonFaust's name in the credits too, because he helped with the tilting beretta recoil frames as well as the muzzles. So, props to the dude.

I can't seem to find any issue with the Doctor Bag on my end, could you be more specific? Or at least include a screenshot.
As for the different ammo types, It's something that I have considered but it's not a priority for me at the moment.

Never mind about doctors bag indicator its just my screen setting(my bad) so far is so good i like it,just if i killing floating demons caco and lostsoul the spiritessence/unmaker ammo its floating in mind air and sometime is to high so i can't reach it,just that my little issue thanks for reacting my comment
Impressive and promising mod! Both Weapons and the gameplay positively resemble Dusk and it's so satisfying to play. Also i can throw shovel in any situation mostly with R key, while holding other weapon and its very helpful! I also like the fact that you can boost yourself up with Necronomicon, but costs souls.
It's pretty perfect so i've got no feedback, except just one thing: I still can pick up souls although i already have 100 of them. Other than that, very decent mod!

Those are actually two different resources, the necronomicon charge and the spirit essence.
The necronomicon charge you automatically get after killing an enemy and the amount is calculated based on the max health of the monster.
The essence are those colorful orbs the monsters drop upon death, they give you health as well as ammo for the bfg replacement and for the scattergun alt-fire.

20/03/2022 Update, Dark Passenger V1.1
The first substantial update to the mod, I wish I got this out sooner but I have been very busy with university.
-Added some new sprites for the player character
-Added a new alt fire for the Unmaker that changes depending on how many runes you have acquired
With one rune you fire a fast energy projectile that explodes on contact with enemies
With two runes the projectiles now can seek enemies
With three runes the unmaker can now be overcharge to unleash a devastating attack, STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THE EXPLOSION WHEN YOU USE IT
-The resistance powerup now protects you from your own explosions, which include the newly added Unmaker Eraser
-The Carabine has been replaced by the HK54 sub-machinegun
Faster firing rate on both the full auto and burst mode
Damage per shot has been reduce
Full auto mode is more inaccurate at longer ranges
-The Scattergun has been partially overhauled with a new set of sprites and a faster firing speed
-Added a new idle animation for the demonic crossbow
-Most weapons muzzle flashes have been replaced so that they are more consistent among each others
-When you select the necronomicon power an icon will be drawn on your hud
-The necronomicon will display a message and play a sound to warn you when it's fully charged
-Bullet sparks will randomly flip between the x and y axis for variation sake
-Added new miscellaneous GLDEFS effects
