Error when opening map (UDB and GZDoom Builder)

Error when opening map (UDB and GZDoom Builder)

Hello, i am working on a map at the moment and it was going perfectly fine, but then at some point when i opened it again it showed me this error!

I can still open it in Slade3, but i tried opening it in UDB and GZB, yet it doesn't work! I don't wanna lose all of my progress, please help! :(

  • upload the complete crashreport

On a side note,
it is comical that the editor threw a crashreport for your map but says on top "No errors foumd" :D

Hi, here is your map recovered.
But all is lost expect level architecture (map layout). But I think that level architecture is the only thing you don't want to make again :)


As you progress your map, ALWAYS make a new version of it. This versioning saved me several times :)

Example: MarbleCastle01.wad, MarbleCastle02.wad, MarbleCastle03.wad, etc.

Have a good fun with making levels 8-)

What was wrong with it? I had a look but I couldn't figure out what the problem was.

I was trying to figure it too (about one hour), but I don't know what is the problem in the wad.

Finally, I only copied UDMF Map Data from corrupted WAD to a new empty WAD using SLADE :)

That is certainly weird. The map works as is with GZDoom 4.7.1

but crashes in the editor.

What is missing is a BEHAVIOR lump. You have to compile the SCRIPTS lump. Pay attention to syntax, like missing " and ;
and SetMusic, or Slade3 will complain a lot.

Just as an aside, it is kind of pointless to include TEXTURE1 and PNAMES, etc
