[Mini Mod] Universal configurable weapon limit! (Released!)

This is a simple addon that adds two soft weapon limits- the first lowers your speed, the second hurts you every second based on how many weapons you've picked up. Depending on the mod, idkfa will kill you fast.

Both limits and the speed penalty are configurable.

This should work with any weapon mod!

This could do for a good challenge run for certain mods and the original games 🤔

Will say I wish we could have an option to prevent picking up weapons once you reach the limit so you have to drop your weapons you don't want to exchange them. Maybe keep the slow-down at the first limit, then instead of losing health at the second limit, you just lose the ability to pick up more weapons until you drop something.

Finally! I love playing with smaller weapon limit so every weapon have its time to shine! Thank you for your mod, I'll be testing and using it a lot with other weapon mods :mrgreen:

That's a great idea but unfortunately as far as I can tell, doing that and making it work with absolutely every mod isn't really feasible, which is why i went with this system

In an ideal world you'd be able to press use to pick up weapons halo style, but for now this really works best with mods that don't have monster drops

I do like the second of panic the damage creates as you dump all your weapons to get back to a safe level

how difficult would it be to make a mod that gave the option to lock weapons? many times it makes me want to carry only a shotgun and pistol, or put together some other set as for challenges or pleasure, like that of spending Doom only with a pistol and rocket launcher.

Currently, to do something similar, I use a mod that helps to take things with the use key, that is, it does not pick up automatically, but there is no option that makes exceptions to automatically pick up health or ammunition, so I had to put another regeneration mod that did not you have many options to limit.
