What do you use to edit or make sprites?

If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

I use GraphicsGale. I tried Aseprite but couldn't get into it. I'm sure I could get the hang of it if I spent some time with it like I did when I moved from IDraw3 to GraphicsGale, but I don't really find myself having that kind of time these days.

I must second Aseprite. Wonderful spriting editor with pallete support. It even has the rotSprite tool for correct sprite rotation. I started using it a year ago, and now I use it more than GIMP. Way faster. I fact, I start GIMP only when I need to make some advanced color changes, like changing whole color range, or stuff like this (which aseprite for some reason dont support).

Do you have any tutorials that will show us newbs on how to make sprites in blender? ( I know there are a few in the tutorial section, but I'm asking if there are any other tutorials)

I mostly use Paint.net or Pinta for any work related to sprites, because SLADE's internal image editor is highly limited in functions.
