If loaded prior to Shades, parts of the weapon's idle animation are overwritten by it's pain frames, while if loaded after it disappears when it's pain frames are called. Additionally, all the obituaries are in all caps and do not display whoever the player the monster killed was.
Can't do anything about the sprite conflict. I'll see what I can do about the obituaries. Thanks for the report!

Anyone has Shades of Doom v3.0? Shades of Doom v4.0 don't run in my LZDoom, unfortunately. So if anyone could share the old version, it would be appreciated.

Well, I'm 5 days out of surgery, and things seem to be going well. I'm on sick leave for 3 months now, so finally I've got plenty of time to just relax and do some Doomin'.

Maybe the latest dev build is ahead of LZDoom_3.87c_x64 version then. I tested it and it works. And i can't even run OpenGL3, so maybe that's an issue with the dev build itself, other mods loaded, maybe you could even try downloading LZDoom again.

Before answering the previous comment to this one, I went to download the latest version of LZDoom x86 to check if it really didn't work with the mod.

I used that version with the mod and it didn't work, but with other mods it has worked correctly for me.

LZDoom x64 I don't think it works for me for obvious reasons, my PC is not 64bits.

My PC is 32bits and only has OpenGL 2.1.

It gives a strange error. I dunno why, the mod has a lot of PNGs tough.

Code: Select all

Corrupt zlib stream
Invalid data encountered for texture 1Shades4.pk3:sprites/g cacos/14 caco ghoul/g14cd2
**** DIED WITH FATAL ERROR:
R_InstallSprite: Sprite G14C frame D is missing rotations
Edit: i see the pk3 has over 50K files.

Now it runs, it was the shitty XP compatibility toolset. 3.87c still ran on XP changing the OpenAL dll. I was going to include the official (XP compatible) dll anyway but now 3.88 won't run on XP. Devbuilds are still compatible with XP so you'll have to wait for the official release, unless you're on XP of course.

Well, my PC has Windows 10. Before, my PC was Windows 8.

I have changed the OpenAL dll and fixed a little LZDoom x86 devbuild issue.

The devbuild crashed every time I stopped playing, although it did not affect anything. When I changed the OpenAL, this crash stopped showing up.

But that's all, the mod still does not work for me.

I need to change the compiler, it will run on the next release (but not on XP). The OpenAL crash is a known problem with devbuilds, it was a bug in the library. That's why i included a custom dll with 3.87c but now i'll include the official release (not available at the time).
Actually Win10 has been a huge downgrade for me.
