FYI, i was reading your response in another thread and my 6 year old saw your Profile pic animation, and thought the pizza thing was cool.
That's nice to hear that! And yeah, everyone loves Pizza too.

EDIT: I'm really sorry about forgetting you, TTA... I couldn't keep up with it and this is my bad.

I also remember the 2012 Derecho that hit here in Ohio.
I witnessed that June Derecho. When I was down in Washington County PA, for a work contract. That was definitely one hell of wallop! Reed Timmer is my favorite.

The worst we get is more of the tropical variety.
October is prime real estate for Tropical Activity for the north east coast, and due to the rotation of the storm, Tornadoes can occur inside them and most often do. Offshore area's can spawn some crazy Wedge sized Water Spouts.

However June and early July is typically Derecho Season for Ohio and Western Pennyslvania. Usually the best time to get some good chases in for me..
That's good to know actually. I also had the wrong year, the near miss with a EF1 was actually in 2013.

Though I remember another one in May 2019 but it was on the other end of the state laterally (though still up in northern NJ, which is where I be).

I just barely missed an Intercept of an EF-0 in 2018 that tore through Youngwood PA.. i was stuck behind a slow car so... Yea.. Missed the touchdown. I did get pictures of an EF-2 that ripped through Allegheny, Westmoreland counties in Pennsylvania though in March 2011. That was wild.. Some homes lost roof's and trees knocked into homes in Pittsburgh Metro. Fun times(Sarcasm).

Oh hey, I have some friends in PA!

If you're in central PA I'm sure it's hard to get good photos with all those hills and trees. Boy is it hilly.

Looks like Central PA is in a Slight Risk on Monday according to the Convective Outlook.

fun fact: part of the firing sound of the lightning gun in OA is recorded from one of the most violent thunderstorms i've ever witnessed. I used an old laptop with an external mic for it right up against a window (which is definitely a storm danger zone, do not try this at home)

As a spotter, I'm all over southwest PA. Been about as far west as Wexford, and as far east as Somerset.
I filmed this in Pittsburgh on 6/13/2021.. It was a wild Chase... A mix of Hail, Microburst, and Damaging wind assessment.

Hail & Damaging Wind Storm Intercept/Aftermath - (Pittsburgh) PA
Marble to Ping Pong sized hail in Shadyside, checked the wind damage from there to schenley park.

Well so I've been out of this community for a long time, but I've been really active in the Homestuck fan game community in the last couple years. Because I'm a huge nerd!

Latest trailer for a game I'm working on with a bunch of other folks, including folks who worked on the official HS games. I did the narrator voice too, which I'm really proud of!

Remember Homestuck? It's back - in pog form!

And yeah, there's still a pretty active fandom around creating fan content. Official content kinda turned into a garbage fire in the last year and a half but we're still trucking.

And thank you - I got a compliment on it from the VA who did Shinji's voice for the Netflix re-dub of Evangelion and that sent me over the fucking moon.
