The Projects forums are only for projects. If you are asking questions about a project, either find that project's thread, or start a thread in the General section instead.
This is a mod for Doom II / Ultimate Doom. The idea is simple:
- Monsters always roll the highest possible damage
- Player always rolls the lowest possible damage
That's it. All other RNG aspects of Doom II (pain chance, bullet spread, etc.) are left untouched.
Compatibility info:
- Works on ZDoom-derived ports with ZScript support (GZDoom 2.3.0+ is fine)
- Tested in Doom II and Ultimate Doom
- Should also work with level packs and mods, as long as they don't replace stock monsters and/or weapons
Monster changes:
Spoiler:
Zombieman, Shotgunner, Chaingunner, Wolfenstein SS and Spider Mastermind always deal 15 DMG (per bullet)
Imp always deals 24 DMG (both melee and fireball)
Pinky and Spectre always deal 40 DMG
Cacodemon always deals 60 DMG (melee) or 40 DMG (fireball)
Hell Knight and Baron of Hell always deal 80 DMG (melee) or 64 DMG (fireball)
Revenant always deals 60 DMG (melee) or 80 DMG (rocket)
Lost Soul always deals 24 DMG
Arachnotron always deals 40 DMG (per shot)
Mancubus always deals 64 DMG (per shot)
Cyberdemon always deals 160 DMG (excluding blast damage)
I challenge anyone to beat Doom 2 MAP29 on Ultra-Violence, Pistol Start and no saves. Snake Eyes really makes this level outrageously difficult and good luck!
I also did a livestream of Snake Eyes, it took me 4 hours just to beat Doom II with it.
