I’m using Linux mint (which I am new to) running LZDoom 32bit with DOOM.wad and DOOM2.wad both work and play, but no sound. I’ve checked my Linux machine and sound works with other things.
I can’t figure this out. Pls help. Thank you.

Are there any error messages in the console right after you start the game?

Most likely one of the sound libraries is missing. Make sure that libopenal1, libsndfile1, libmpg123-0; and timidity and/or libfluidsynth1 are installed.
