What if you're meant to jump?

If you're playing a Megawad that's design with things like jumping or ducking in mind. Is there a way to tell? Should you just asume that most wads are going to be made without those things in mind?

If it's released after 1998 or so, look at the readme file. Usually they'll specify if jumping is allowed or not - unless it's intended for vanilla, in which case, safe to assume jumping is forbidden.
