Drat I thought I fixed this. It's a legendoom thing, something to do with the weapons having ISMONSTER and Corruption Cards giving them buffs. Then you pick up those weapons and you then own the buffs :roll:

  • Recoded the observer (the mechanic that learns what monsters throw what projectiles) slightly.
  • Re-fixed Inventory monsters getting card effects.
  • Fixed a bug with Mirror curse after loading a save.
  • Fixed Cannibalism buff not working with certain mods.

I think I found a problem; after killing a monster with the mirror curse the controls mess up after some time. Also, the download link on the first post leads to 1.4a instead of 1.4b.

I didn't change maps, load/save, or use any mods.

Odd. I'll have to look into this later. In the mean time you can type "take CCards_Actor_FlipperInventory" on the console if you find yourself with inverted controls.

I think I found out what's causing it, the controls mess up when you use the fist or chainsaw on an enemy when everything is mirrored.

Would it be at all possible to have enemies shoot player projectiles?

Figured that could be kinda cool

Far too dangerous with custom mods, as there's no telling what jank a player's projectile could do and if a monster even has capabilities of using it.



I've added a completely new feature to hopefully add some extra variety to runs. Custom decks! While you could always do this with CCARDs lump, not everyone wants to bother messing with the files to get a different experience. When you start a new game, you will be offered to choose a deck from which the game will pick cards from. If you come up with any more themes that I find interesting I could add them. But I think I need more cards first ;)
  • New Deck selector! After choosing a game mode you can choose from a variety of decks, which determine what cards will show up in your run.
  • Attack style modifiers can no longer stack. I.e Monster fires bullets + Monster triple projectiles will no longer be offered togehter, as one replaces the other.
  • Fixed several bugs with the Mirror Curse.
  • Added 2 new cards.

i haven't checked out 1.5 because i like the jetpack card that makes corpses fly around out of control too much.
but a deck type could be "For the Horde" which is all about making enemies more ridiculous (aggression, doubling, respawning, gangs, flying, speed)

-EDIT-
Fixed Rocketeer monster flying around even after death.
Capped Additional Monster and Monster Companions to 100 monsters maximum (per card).
Monsters disguised as items no longer carry objects.


any chance of reintroducing these bugs as features/toggles?
all 3 of these fixes feel like they take away from the chaos

The only one that makes sense fixing is (Monsters disguised as items no longer carry objects.), as the only problem with it is that they were floating above where the monster would be and it looked off and I could fix it with a bit of a tweak. The 100 monsters cap you wouldn't even notice if you were playing a map that had 100+ monsters on it, trust me. ;)

two quality of life requests
1) allow cards to be cycled with up/down (down for right, up for left, to match the text list)
2) 1 tic input ignoring buffer after map start so that restarting with the use key wont immediately select the game mode nvm, my mistake

the beauty of the duplicating monsters is that it also duplicated respawning enemies, which im assuming it doesn't do anymore?
