Hey everyone, I was wondering something. What exactly is the difference between Wrath of Cronos and Brutal Hexen/Heretic? I know both include an RPG system but I want to know which one is better so I can finalize my mods.

I like Wrath of Cronus for having more depth on the RPG side but the Brutal mods have good effects and such as well.

I was working on castle maps for DOOM2, and this mod + Gothic skin pack works great.
I have two questions:
1) Is there an author-supported mod which replaces DOOM monsters with medieval variants, or do I stick with Gothic pack for now?
2) Also, what's the purpose of the gold?

1. I don't think there is. There is a wad file that can accompany non-HeXen games in making the appropriate game's monsters WoC appropriate (in terms of giving EXP, gold, and items), but I've yet to find something that both makes DOOM's enemies into medieval variants and works fine with WoC.Deon wrote:I was working on castle maps for DOOM2, and this mod + Gothic skin pack works great.

2. There's a chance on each map that you can find a shopkeeper. That's where your gold will go. As it's only a chance per map, though, there is in fact a possibility you will be holding onto that gold for a while, if not all game.

Okay, it seems I've encountered a glitch for this mod. For clarity's sake, this is my mod order:
-Hexenl7musV3.pk3
-woc (main file)
-hexen_gz.pk3 (neural texture pack)
The glitch I encountered is minor but it bothers me. When playing as the fighter during attacking, one of the gloves is completely gone, like the picture was cut at some point. It's weird how it only affects the left hand and not the right. Maybe this can be fixed or configured in menus, I'm not sure, but it if has to do something with the mod, I could try to rework the mod order.

In Heretic have missing sprites like the mages staff for example, though they have brightmap glow and do damage but no sprite. Using WOCv3a and the WOCv3 Heretic Patch and latest version of GzDoom v 4.5.

Hello, I've been testing this mod with the Map wad Shadows of Cronos, I've come across an interesting issue, there is a room early on with 4 doors that all open at the same time into a large out door area where there are far too many Ettins even on easy, could someone make a patch of that map with the enemies toned down please?

Other than those issues, the changes seem wonderful! My wife and I were so excited for this update but for now we cant use this mod.
Anyone got a solution for this one? It grey's out the top options under Wrath of Cronos configurations, and I haven't had much luck at all figuring out how edit host only settings that aren't doomseekers vanilla settings.

Anyone know how to adjust the text that says "select a skill to level up"?
I find it really annoying where it is.
I would like to move it to the lower left just above the hud if possible.

Nope, as far as I know he isn't even in the heretic/hexen discord, but there is something interesting related to woc:
Checking The Sentinel's Playground there is a zandronum server where you can get a new version called woc_v3.1.4.pk3 along with the updated patches, probably this will be the next official version but still in beta state. You can download it from here:

I don't know the differences compared to 3.A version (and surprisingly, it still works with my campaign) since I didn't see a changelog, but I noticed that the mage has a new ruby wand in the fifth slot instead of the emerald wand and the fighter has new sprites for the Vorpal Blade.
