Favorite Flash Games?
With only a month left in Adobe Flash Player's life, I thought we could all get together to talk about our favorite Flash games before Flash is gone forever.
What are your favorite Flash games?

I do not use software with such security implications. If some website said anything about 'Flash' there was only one button to press, and it was not the one labelled 'Start'.

Motherlode
I replay it every few years. The remake didn't live up to my expectations.

Re: Favorite Flash Games?
I've saved my favorite flash games and use them with one of the standalone offline players Adobe used to have. In all honesty... most of them aren't very good in retrospect, but I keep them around for nostalgia anyways.
One standout I do go back to occasionally is the "Tactical Assassin" series by Simon Hason, which sort of peaked the combination of the "stick figures in dramatic situations" and "sniper game" genres for me.
I also really enjoy "Story of the Blanks", which is an NES-imitation MLP horror game, but in Flash. It's more compelling than it has any right to be.

I'd like to say I enjoyed Line Rider. Hope there's a download for it.

Resident Line Rider expert here I guess, but mind you I haven't been in the community for over a year now.NeonLights95 wrote:I'd like to say I enjoyed Line Rider. Hope there's a download for it.
You can download a hardware accelerated "modern" version here: https://linerideradvanced.com/
And the online site still works: https://www.linerider.com/
Both of these play differently, but they more come down to personal preference. Sort of like the differences between Crispy Doom and Chocolate Doom.
Re: Favorite Flash Games?
Even though the Flash Player itself is going away, people are working on ways to archive not only flash games, but other obsolete web platforms such as the Unity Web Player. My personal favorite games came from Dan-dare.org, which had a ton of different games I'd play regularly back when I was younger.

I was a big fan of the Heli-Attack series and Amorphous +. The SCGMDX series is a lot of fun too. I've saved a number of .swfs to my PC so I can play them in the future. It's sad to see such a big part of the internet get discontinued, we're going to lose a massive amount of independent content.

Re: Favorite Flash Games?
Perhaps a bit off-topic, since this game does not run in browser - although it still uses Flash. The Dream Machine is a point-and-click adventure game built out of clay and cardboard (among other things). First time I played it when only the first 5 chapters (out of 6) were available, and I liked it a lot. The final chapter gets even weirder, and I didn't like the ending much, but IMO the ride is well worth it overall. The visual style may not appeal to everyone, though.

Submachine. Also other games like Covert Front and The Fog Fall. The latter was on Pastel Games' website until the company went under. Shame, because I enjoyed all of the games on there. I'm sure there are countless of mirrors out there.

Thankfully, those are all in Flashpoint's archive, even The Fog Fall.Accensus wrote:Submachine. Also other games like Covert Front and The Fog Fall. Spoiler:
Re: Favorite Flash Games?
The Commando series, the Heli-Attack series, and the Karoshi series. I know Kongregate and Newgrounds have measures to preserve much of their Flash content, but I’m not sure for other sites such as miniclip.

Line Rider, Achievement Unlocked, This is the only level, Thing Thing (Arena) series, a viking-themed puzzle game where you cut icicles with the mouse, Dune Bashing In Dubai (infamous because I could never get past the second or third level), and many more
Edit: Portal the flash version, most of the stuff from stickpage.com or crazymonkeygames, Happy Wheels, Madness Interactive
Also Vinny from Vinesauce streams flash games occasionally.
