am i the only one struggling to run this?
i needed to re-zip the drpg files cause zdl file never worked, and when i choose lexicon as map, It never give me nes zapper and unable to choose maps.

The "use" button doesn't work in the status/skill menu

This looks really cool, but I can't seem to get it working. I follow all the instructions, correct ZDL version and all, but I only ever load up the ordinary Doom2.wad. What am I doing wrong?

In order to run the game (At least for me), is by manually adding the files that are included into zdl in the order that it shows. It doesn't like when I try to load it through the ZDL file that is included in the zip.

I rezipped each DoomRPG file and added them to ZDL and everything seems to be loaded, but I am unable to play any of the maps. Use key does nothing. What am I missing?


EDIT: It seems my problem is that I'm not getting the NES Zapper in the Lexicon, thus rendering me unable to choose a map.

EDIT 2: give lexicon_votegun lets you get the Zapper, but even then it still doesn't let you pick a map.

Does this work with Doom 1? It fires up fine with both the LegenDoom + Colourful Hell or DoomRLA + RLA-Monsters configs when I launch it with Doom 2, but gets stuck on the launcher loading (and errors out) when I try to play it with Doom 1. Is a part of it incompatible with Doom 1 IWAD/maps?

If you check the installation requirements, they do mention "and load doom2.wad from proper sources", since the included mods depend on that WAD.

I also had trouble loading from ZDL sometimes. Adding files, and then folders (it's another icon, that looks like a folder with a +) in the same order as the first screenshot shows, makes it work (I just tested just in case).

If someone has trouble loading, let me know and I can make a video.

P.S. You will also want to start the "new" game, and use the teleporter in the Marine base with "a" and "d" to switch to VR map. You don't need a zapper gun, just shoot any of icons.

I'm absolutely amazed at the work that has been put into this, been trying to get DRLA to work with RPG and champions before and found it a huge headache.
However I do have some very minor/specific issues about this.
1.The ZDL .ini file will simply not work and should be configured by hand.
2.The ZDL .Zdl file just plain doesn't work and I found your load order screenshot to be infinitely more useful.
3. Neither of the downloads comes with a GZdoom configuration files meaning all the nice touches present in your video won't work unless you get the one from this thread. I'm unsure about gzdoom redistribution rules but I do believe packaging these huge modpack with a properly configured version of GZdoom would be more covinient. or at least with the gzdoom configuration .ini
4. for some reasons i've tried this with gzdoom 4.4.2 and the drla pack but the "drop weapon" keybind seems to be unresponsive and with drla limited weapon space that makes it close to unplayable.

Otherwise stellar work my dood.

Edits: #4 was me being an idiot and forgeting that DRLA got a mod specific key for that.

I made this account because I had to thank you for the wonderful job you have done with this pack. I've always wanted to play DOOM like this. Having so many wads and not having a "progression" to feel how much I have improved as such it makes you feel that you only play more of the same but so I think I will do long game sessions to enjoy what you have built here and I really hope you continue improving it day by day

I've forgot to upload the proper gzdoom-portable.ini file which you should place next to your GZDoom.exe file for proper keybindings/UI. It's in the first post now.

Does anyone have the issue of not finding any of the collectible quest-items (scrap electronics, gun parts, hazardous chemicals, etc) for the Collection missions? I accepted one (scrap electronics) and have never found any. I've tried going back to previously cleared maps, and thoroughly searching new ones as I complete them, but have yet to find a single one of these quest items.

Regarding the new 1.3 update (just recently! :D): those 2 OneDrive links (for the 2 "large mod packs") don't work... Both say "the link has expired or the files removed".

Hey! They have expired somehow, even if the files are there. I will figure it out momentarily.

P.S. I'll reupload them to mediafire or something, for now it's temporarily fixed. I didn't know 1drive only gives you temporary links.

P.P.S. About collection missions, it's something that worked for me fine, but the items seem to appear quite randomly, so I often ignore them.

The links are changed to MEDIAFIRE so the expiration should no longer be a problem.
