Sometimes i'd be brutally honest but i don't really hate Doom 1. I'm just dissatisfied with the fact of not being shared with Doom 2 assets despite they literally updated it to The Ultimate Doom. It still feels like not various enough than Doom 2. Trying to replace every weapon and enemy more than just cutscenes, without having to make another addon is mind-boggling to me yet. Sorry about that.

And i'd go for Strife compatibility as well, but maybe in another time.

i have a probleme = the 6 weapons limit is broken

when I get six weapons and throw one weapon away, the red weapon limit text does not disappear and I cannot take another different weapon

It works fine on my end. And i'm afraid i can't figure out what's wrong if the issue is not detailed. But you can try:

- Make sure you're running the mod without any random mods that replaces or adds another weapons.

- Do not toggle the Weapon Limit very often during the gameplay. I presume it'll corrupt the weapon slots if you're not careful. If the problem actually happened, try drop all the weapons and then pick them up again.

- Speaking of dropping weapons, try not to press GZDoom's Default Weapon Drop Key but the Mod's own key(that'll be x). I guess people are still being confused over this. No?

Be sure to read the OP before downloading. The mod has its own weapon drop key and other cool hotkey and stuff.

I'm sure he won't be the last one who can't finger out the engine's weapon drop key won't working with the mod...sadly, but it won't be for not carefully reading the "readme" OP post before using mod. :P

Yeah, just like how Trailblazer changes it to the snarky tobacco-and-alcohol-obsessed ramblings of an 80s action hero, or Xim's Star Wars mods speak of Kyle Katarn fighting the Galactic Empire.

I'm sure Captain J can find some inspiration from those...

EDIT: And now that I'm on that note: #1) I often run Netronian Chaos with Xim's Star Wars texture set(wonder if you think it fits; but it really kinda doesn't if I'm honest), which leads me to #2) have you ever considered a "Netronian" texture set, so as to reskin the vanilla .IWAD levels or maps that primarily use vanilla textures into something more appropriate?

Argh screw it i'll consider about the Doom 1 cutscenes. I was also considering to add brightmaps for the items as well, so why not.

And about texture pack, i'm afraid i don't have time to make it also. Sorry!

Tho i'm not advertising other's mod but just recommending, go check out Combinebobnt's MSPaintDoom. I'm pretty sure it replaces everything like vanilla enemies, texture and the props into somewhat fitting mspaint stuff with better justice.

I wonder why is she looks so sad... Maybe she's tired of waiting for something?

And that something might be the new update on Netronian Chaos! I took some openroadracer's advice and replaced all the existing IWAD endings and ending texts like the ones from TNT Evilution, Doom 1 and more. And here are more changes as well:

- Added some brightmaps for the weapon/ammo items! Some of them now shines in very important situations.

- Made a lot of changes for the Ending screens. Now has image and text replacements For Doom 1, Doom 2, TNT Evilution and more!

- Replaced some existing vanilla doom stuff like Icon of Sin explosions and Baron Ball. Now they’re all replaced, i hope!


Be sure to redownload the mod and the addon again. Thank you so much for loving my mod, always!

Just played the first episode of doom with the new stuff must say i really love what u did with the new screens great job Captain J.
