Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is free on Steam to mark Sega's 60th Anniversary. This is the original Genesis ROM, and not the enhanced remake released on mobile some years ago.

Note that it appears in your game list as "SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics", not as "Sonic 2". It's basically treated as a "DLC" for the "main game" which is an emulator.

Sign up for Sega's 60th Celebrations to get a free Steam copy of NiGHTS Into Dreams.

In addition, Sega will be releasing four free limited-time minigames onto Steam over the next few days in download-and-keep form:
Endless Zone, a tribute to Fantasy Zone in the Endless Space universe.
Golden Axed, a single-level prototype of the cancelled "Sega Reborn: Golden Axe" circa 2013.
Streets of Kamurocho, a mash-up of Streets of Rage and the Yakuza franchise.
Armor of Heroes, a top-down multiplayer tank battle game using Company of Heroes assets.

I can vouch that Kingdom is pretty fun. I've yet to try New Lands, but if it's anything like Kingdom -- then I recommend it. Beautiful and an interesting strategy game.
