DAMN, this is some incredibly high quality stuff! The enemies are smarter/quicker, the levels are incredibly huge and ultra detailed, and the weapon modification system is right up my alley. I REALLY like where this is going!

Really awesome demo! It feels like a step up from the already amazing first episode with larger levels, the ability to back track, just everything about it is a step up and this is just the first demo! The even more detailed sprites and areas really make this shine even more and the added destructability is a great touch. Oh and the weapons sound and feel like they pack so much more of a punch now! Great stuff Vostyok I look forward to more demo's and the full mod's release

Also, I love some references. Since this mod looks and feels more like a 3dbuild engine, I loved this one

I just wanted to also say how amazingly atmospheric the soundtrack is in undercity.
I remember those ghost-like mutants from the first episode and I fear they might pop up at any moment now. :D

Oh, damn. Didn't see that edit with the ledge jump.

I've uploaded a quick fix to deal with the hall-o-mirrors door in that tunnel, as well as some items that were missing on easy/survival difficulty.

Probably won't be doing much else with the demo, since it's a fork of the main body. But will integrate any fixes mentioned here for future. Some others that were identified:
-Inability to use bayonet when out of shells.
-Laser mod for autoloader cancels out battery recharge when held.
-Missing sprites for player. They just aren't done yet.
-Overseer will be getting new sounds, uses master sounds as placeholder.
-acid splash for gasbag. Trust me, you're gonna hate this one later tho. XD
-UI scaling acts weird with the default hud.
-Secret doesn't always register for two spots in the demo.
-Adding about 1lb more HE to the pipebomb. For that really big bang.
-Oh, and the workbench doesn't autoswap to a modified version if "switch on pickup" is disabled. This should be an easy fix.

Well, he is a jackass

I'm still working on the town/violence relationship. Don't worry about it for now.
In the future, you might be able to burn the whole town down, but don't expect to make many friends in the next place.

Update- added information on difficulty and gameplay to the front page.

My graditude for this incredible mod stretches as far as the wasteland.
Personally, I regard it as one of the best mods ever done for Doom. Ever.

Just played it. My man, you've done it. You managed to blow my mind with just a demo and left me speechless. I'm a little afraid of what comes with the full episode. I might not survive it.

One of the best games I've ever played!
I love the big open map: with a proper ingame paper map and a notebook to mark mission objectives and clues, will be perfect in my opinion.

..you should work for 3d-Realms...

I played the demo and I am very much liking what I've experienced so far. I love how it's all one big map (technically a bunch of maps with exits linked to one another but still) rather than simply playing from one level to the next.

The upgrade system is a nice addition, being able to improve the arsenal. I've had a fun time just sneakily stabbing every enemy I could with the shotgun bayonet (anybody reading this, go for this upgrade first, it's really helpful in conserving ammo and in crossing large gaps with the bayonet charge) and going loud with the upgraded revolver.
