[minimod][v1.1.1] Graveyard
Graveyard is a minimod for GZDoom that places gravestones where you die.
Gravestones are carried over play sessions, so:
1. You die.
2. You start a new game, or load the savegame.
3. You see a gravestone where you died.

Source code

- keys to remove gravestones on this map or all gravestones.

Re: [minimod][v0.1] Graveyard
This mod reminded me Terraria, and it's quite interesting.
Anyways, now the game can remind that I'm really suck at doom.

Re: [minimod][v0.2] Graveyard
Of course, there was a bug that was discovered right after the release. So, 4 of you who downloaded the mod, please download version 0.2.
Changelog:
- fixed a bug when new gravestones overwrite old ones after clearing gravestones on a map.

Re: [minimod][v0.2] Graveyard
This is some amazing zdoom magic. Now i can both embrace and be embarrassed about my deaths!
But is there will be last words on each gravestone? That would be really funny.

Re: [minimod][v0.2] Graveyard
Damn, didn't know something like this was possible. What if the the tombstones said things like "squashed by a mancubus" instead? Having them all just be the same phrase with a different enemy is pretty boring

Re: [minimod][v0.2] Graveyard
Suggestions:
Is there a way to make your graves random? (Hexen and blood have excellent sprites of graves)
Also, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night has an enemy called Tombstone, with a perfect centered sprite facing the player.
=)

Re: [minimod][v0.2] Graveyard
Random graves would be great. The problem is ripped sprites: I don't want to add more unlicensed content. I'll be glad to replace the sprite used in this mod with something that allows reuse explicitly.

Nice stones! Cannot take the cross (don't want to imply Christianity). Also had to fill gaps on the bottom, otherwise it looks weird on flat surface. Also added mirrored variant. Do you approve, Captain?

Captain J, you are doing good. If there were gravestones with UAC logo it would be funny.

Doom 2016 death marks also would be cool.

Re: [minimod][v0.3] Graveyard
v0.3 is up!
Changelog:
Changelog:
- added timestamp to grave description;
- added randomized gravestone sprites (by Captain J);
- fixed gravestones not loading sometimes.
Accessing proper obituaries happened to be surprisingly difficult. Probably not.dsucks wrote:What if the the tombstones said things like "squashed by a mancubus" instead?
Not sure where to get the sprites legally. Also, cannot access real date-time.dmslr wrote:Doom 2016 death marks also would be cool.
