That looks good. I can really feel the power in his attack there. Good job. :thumb:

So the swing animation is finished with 3 frames? I'm not saying that it should be much smoother, since i'm a minimalist. Because It looks like he stopped swinging the hammer completely. Sure, it reached doomguy's head, but again, it looks like the animation just stopped.

Here's the example or fix thingie. Yeah, the right arm looks janky, but you get the idea. Very cool and unique sprite, btw!

With a tool as heavy as a sledgehammer, stopping at all (especially if he misses) would be quite difficult and the hammer would probably keep going right down until it hit the ground.

Well yeah, that's the point i already made. Perhaps there should be an optional or extra frame that the hammer is completely down? Just spitballing here.

if you add 1 more frame when the hammer is in lowest position. Then "someone" could make inbetween frames in Interprite.

make 4 frame, +2 = 12 frames [yes, this is "art math" its correct]

Seeing them all put together like that, I don't think the additional frames are helping (at least not in the way that they are currently drawn).

doomjedi's animation was short but I think it got across the big powerful swing and the heavy thump-down of the hammer quite well - even if it did just stop. Those extra frames make it look as if the power fades out of the attack rather strangely and all those large body movements of the rest of the swing suddenly coming to a halt looks odd too.

What did you use to make that explosion?

I use this tool to make pixel-art particle effects. It's got some annoying quirks but overall it's a very neat and powerful program!

That works much better IMO.

A bit of tweaking of frame duration and it will look great.

Maybe something a bit like...

uhhhhh those two sprites i uploaded aren't suppose to be continued like that. Left one is just an alternative counterpart to see which one's natural at best. Sorry for lack of explanation heheh...

But at least 1st rotation attack animation is now finished!

4th frame of Enjay looks impressive, nice idea!

...looking how much effort it takes me to rotate each frame (working on second frame rotation), I'm a bit intimidated adding 1 more attack frame.

Or you just could skip 1st or 3rd frame. Only having Keyframes are also natural, y'know!
