384 Challenge

Post by SpaceyStrife »

I challenged myself to make a functional level within a 384x384 square. Nothing can exist outside the square, not even monster teleport rooms. It replaces MAP25 of Doom 2.

Just did a run of this, quite challenging without being bullshit. The idea is great and you did a great job of funneling the player through such a limited amount of space and keeping it fun. The ending was a little hard since I ran out of Chaingun ammo, though.

Pretty neat if I say so myself, very claustrophobic and nefarious. I love it. :D

Cool idea for a challenge and a neat map it reminds me of being inside this painting.

Thanks guys!

sgrwtr - I enjoyed your map! I hadn't considered what could be done with 3D floors and this manages to be a nice vertical platforming sequence.
