When it happens in Build you die, in HL/Quake you stuckManuel-K wrote:I think HL's doors are slightly more forgiving.lowskill. wrote:Or a sharp wall, or map props too close to each other, preventing squeezing between them successfully.
Doors were pretty infamous in the '90s to be honest, HL1's doors were just as bad as Build's, if not even more so.
And jumping into a tight space in HL couldn't kill you.

Ken's sample game, Kenbuild is full of these glitches too.Graf Zahl wrote:Don't blame the Build engine for logic bugs in the Duke game code. Ken is innocent here, it's all inept game logic causing these problems

Ok, that means that the Duke devs are even more inept. Instead of thinking up a working movement logic they just copied the worst parts of a quickly slapped together *DEMO GAME*!!!???

Re: Releases
Ive edited the preliminary Raze page at ZDoom wiki to include a credit screen of all EDuke32 devs that aren't covered in Raze's credits (It just names them ''Team'').
This was done because Strikerman780 noticed that the credits list was not complete.
Personally ''team'' covers the bill in my eyes but i finally came around to doing it.
When the Raze wiki goes online, feel free to use that screen. May save you some hassle (or not).

Note that this list of people is present in the in-game credits.

Re: Releases
0.5.1 is out. The most important thing is several sound fixes in Shadow Warrior. There's also support for Redneck Deer Huntin' that got inherited from RedNukem - credits go to Nuke.YKT for adding this -, but this hasn't been tested extensively yet. A known issue is that the rifle's scope is not implemented - upstream it was only done for the software renderer.

Re: Releases
There will be - I just haven't gotten around to it. I've had an extremely busy weekend. I just woke up this morning thinking about it and sent the build process into motion, when I come back I'll post the build.

I just want to chip in on this bit in particular and say that i appreciate the efforts into doing this - despite having said busy weekend. I do hope that alongside al this you kept a moment of free time for yourself.Rachael wrote:There will be - I just haven't gotten around to it. I've had an extremely busy weekend. Doom is a major point of interest for any of us here, but i'd like to be cautious and state in general that every name is also an individual and they aren't Dooming 24/7. Well, unless you Doom 24/7.

This isn't directed towards anyone, i just felt it needed to make this point. Just a sign alongside the road that is Doom. Feel free to ignore it. Just don't get caught for speeding.

Don't worry, I do it because I want to. Red is right, I do have a lot of things going on beyond Doom/Raze though.

Re: Releases
I finally managed to do a 0.6.0 release. This contains all of mjr4077au's improvements to the input system and hopefully also fixes controller input. I also merged the World Tour additions from EDuke, but since I do not have this version of the game it is untested. I hope I got all relevant commits.
Re: Releases
Linux build uploaded.
Re: Releases
I'm thinking about buying World Tour as its currently 2 € at Humble, but I'm weary of giving Randy any money.
