Thanks Voltcom9. I always saw people requesting angled vanilla weapon sprites around the forum every now and then, but nothing ever was made out of these requests (at least, nothing that was released). I know some old mods that have angled weapons (like Alandoguns for example) but i wanted something fresh. Since i couldn't find anything and that would be the perfect opportunity to release something completely different from what i usually do - meaning: not Aliens-Predator related -, i made this quick concept in my spare time. Took me around 3 or 4 days, working on it for about 2 hours each day. I've also reused some assets from other mods i did in the past, both released and unreleased.

What i learned is that vanilla-esque mods are really easier to maintain and update when you're running on a tight real life schedule like i am now, and they can still be a lot of fun for me to develop and (i hope) for you guys to play it.

Its so weird suddenly seeing these usually centered weapons at an angle but its also really cool to see a different perspective on them and see more details and whatnot, its really neat! The only real nitpicks i have is the chaingun (though it looks like that will be changed very soon), the plasma rifle not doing its little recoil/vent animation after firing throws me off a tiny bit, and the super shotgun feels like its firing a tiny bit slower. Though that could just be my mind playing tricks on me. Other than those little nitpicks though, this is really cool!

Thank you. I'll check the numbers of the SSG rate of fire again just to be sure. The chain gun is already replaced in my end, but since I'm adding some new effects, I haven't updated the file yet. I'm also thinking of ways to make the plasma venting animation. For now, it has a cooldown time between the shots (the weapon emits some smoke) equivalent to the vanilla animation.

I'm personally quite fond of the current version. To me, the first one you shared doesn't quite feel like the original shotty and the second one is a bit too angled. What we have now I think is angled just right without being too far to the side or too centered.

Oh , hi Denis. I'm flattered to have you here! I found these sprites earlier and they look good, but in the end I chose the one I'm using because it closely resembles the original shotgun. The pistol, however, was promptly added with no second thoughts. That thing looks awesome!

This looks really cool!, can't wait for the next update.

However, I noticed that there is a single loose pixel on top of in the chainsaw hand holding sprite...

Loving the sprites on these weapons, they almost look updated on some, definitely on the chainsaw. The added effects are nice as well, but coloured blood would be a welcome addition if it's possible. I tried it with BloodFixer and the droplets of blood weren't affected. And one small nitpick is the sprite on the pistol with these two reddish pixels? If it's unchangeable, then that's understandable. Other than that minor thing, great weapon mod for vanilla players! :)
