Heh, well I managed to compile a working 1.22 executable (after finding out that midas has been renamed to housemarque....)
But compiling 52 just gives me a bunch of errors (mostly related to flac it seems) Would anyone be kind enough to look at my build log and suggest what the problem could be?
I'm sorry to bother everyone with noobish pleas for help . I realise that by helping me out, no one is likely to benefit much. But it would be very kind if anyone could
its here if you feel like helping:

What is a good and free compiler to use... I havn't got a clue about this stuff, but I'm gonna have a go (I played with QC, had no idea about C but managed to create a decent amount of weapons, mind, it was mostly copy and paste of old code , but it worked .).
Ah, I remreber one patch where I took the code from someone's fiend pentagram and made the player do this cool matrix style karete kick (with cheesy sound to acompany it ), oh the memories .

I couldnt get DevCpp to work, no matter how long and hard I tried. It just wont compile the zdoom code. Well thats not quite true, it compiles it fine, but when it goes to make the exe it explodes with "command line too long" error.
You might have more luck with it: http://www.bloodshed.net/
Funny, Im doing more or less the same thing as you did (but its fun, heh)
