Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!

If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.

We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

Options to change the stock HUD font?

Post by MartinHowe »

My understanding is that the HUD fonts were changed to support UNICODE, at the expense of the traditional DOOM HUD font; however, the replacement is very very hard to read; it's all squiggly curves in red on what are often (in game) dark backgrounds.

I can find no option to change the HUD font; is that because I am dumb and can't find it, or because there isn't one? Is there any way to replace it with a clean sans-serif typeface, preferably in upper case and brighter colours?

Currently there is no way. You couldn't do anything about the colors anyway because the raw font is 1-bit data, all color is done programmatically.
