Hm...looks like it was drawn initially before doom was released, I'll do it then.

Why don't you release a standalone version if you have everything you need?

What's the point of doing this if I'm not able to redraw everything original smooth doom has. It would be a bad decision to make a download that consists only a few of hi-res frames and repeats every lo-res frame just for fun and I don't have any right to copy them.

I mean you could make your own "Smooth weapons" mod with upscaled frames, not entire Gifty's mod. The frames have already done. You can just make your own mod not require Smooth Doom. You should just give credits to Gifty and Per Kristian. It would be very nice to have this if you can't run Smooth Doom because of compatibility with a level wad (custom monsters, palette, etc.)

It's a good idea then, I just don't have any experience and time yet for it, maybe later.

Will you be doing the DOOM 64 version of the weapons?

I can't check right now as I'm at work, but aren't Smooth doom's graphics saved as unpaletted pngs meaning different palettes are a non-issue? At least, I'm sure I remember using it with Ancient Aliens without problems.

No, my goal were classic doom graphics, I'm not interested in Doom 64 and haven't even played it yet, maybe I just don't feel passionate about it. Perhaps in a distant future.

I was selecting doom palette in slade before exporting smooth doom's original images to PNG, otherwise these looked like a real bend up mess.

I do believe this mod has smoothed out D64 weapons (as well as extra weapons with D64 aesthetic).
