Renderstyle Translucent, Alpha something (probably 0.5-ish?), either -SOLID or +NOBLOCKMAP (possibly both).

Re: Icarus.wad ghost effect
Given that Icarus predates Decorate and in fact any native support for translucency, I sort of wonder if this is actually the "Arch-Vile resurrects ghost monsters" bug, that ZDoom is applying some flourish to.

Re: Icarus.wad ghost effect
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away that was indeed a zdoom feature.wildweasel wrote:that ZDoom is applying some flourish to.
Re: Icarus.wad ghost effect
Does it means that it is no possible to re-use this "bug" ? (i try in a map, nothing appends )
Re: Icarus.wad ghost effect
Pretty sure the bug is supported via a compatibility option.
Look in the compatibility options menu, actor behavior sub-menu. The option is something like "Crushed monsters can be resurrected". I don't think you'll get the translucency effect any more because that was just a ZDoom feature that was removed many years ago, but the basic bug of resurrected ghosts should still work.
Bug... working...
