Well, that's gonna happen with how tight ammo and magazine capacity are! There's not exactly a lot of room to maneuver around projectiles, either. I do better in wide open areas.

I'm not sure if GZDoom has a compat flag for projectiles going through decorations so I'm going to file A REQUEST IN UNDEATH. A hitscan garage door remote. No damage. Just for shooting walls.

REALTALK one of the things I wanted to do with this mod (before I tearfully smothered it with a pillow) was add the ability to dodge through enemies. This would have required a lot of logic to handle a dodge ending inside of an enemy (fnarr) or horde of enemies (ooh-er) without getting the player stuck, but it probably would have made the combat almost tolerable. After that would have probably been the whole fire system I had planned (other mods like DRLA have done it better by now) and probably Hexen support, which would have relied a lot on trying to fix Hexen's myriad flaws with things like redesigned Slaughtaur behavior and highlighting objectives and quest items on the automap.

Alas. Could've, should've...

At which point I remember that JPF had dodging and I completely forgot

Maybe I'll re-record it with actually keeping dodging in mind.

Dodge tackle with forced mini-pain states and some knockback? (Complete with a cheering crowd for a good streak, naturally.) Less stuck in enemies, more HURRRGH action.

Who knows? Maybe JPFGuy has one of those long lost brothers with a split personality disorder.
