Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I think it would be better if you instead used the reloading frames in reverse order, without the hands, if you want it to flick shut. Then, all you'd need to do is make an edited frame of the reload with 2 shells inserted.Canned Yams wrote:Yeah, I tried to get the motion of the gun getting flicked back up, but I couldn’t get it to look right in the gif. Might look better in game.

Some progress. I don't like the thick outlines around the scope, though.

That scope looks kinda wrinkled-ish, but i love the detail of this rifle overall. Nice going!

Anyways, maybe the scope has too many ribs? I think it'll work with one rib each at the front and back end, maybe two in the middle combined with some detail like a focus knob on the side and a screw/washer at the top or something alike?
Personally I like the one without scope too, it's great sprite work! I could imagine a dot sight or something to go along with it

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
It's funny that you mention that...
Though a more visible one mounted on the rail would look pretty good. Mostly working on some sprite improvements for The Trooper, though some of this stuff is likely to be used for some secondary project.
Have some, um, fuck, what are those rings at the part where the handguard meets the barrel called again? Well, have some anyway.

Looks like a compensator is attached now with that edit. Nice. Though I think the underbarrel portion should either be cut down to the ring length or have no ring, as it would look more realistic IMO.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Btw, I quickly cobbled these two things together to see the sprites in motion. I suppose, the shotguns work okay, not perfect, but okay for the limited frames there are.
Played with NashGore™.

Pretty nice and detailed animations and sound effects. Except that Lever Action Shotgun might need some reinforced cocking sound, though! Loud and Metallic, you know?
