So... I've just noticed, that the sound used for the player death in Corridor 7: Alien Invasion is taken from the movie Alien. It's a small snippet of Kane's grunts from the chest burster scene.
I also found something that sounds like light saber noises, but I'm unsure if they are rips from Star Wars.
Has anyone else found blatant sound rips from movies in games?

I'm not sure about the Aliens example, but to call them "blatant ripoffs" is often plain wrong because movies and videogames alike use a lot of stock sound effects, some of which are in the public domain. The best examplei s probably the famous Wilhelm Scream. That being said, Hired Guns uses the a pulse rifle burst sound effect and Cyber Empire / Steel Empire has Star Wars spaceship laser sounds.

Golden Axe famously has a bunch of screams taken directly from a Rambo movie.

It's like the iconic stock sound of the Doom community.RexS wrote:Didn't we just have this thread like a week ago? lol
