Re: Translating GZDoom's text content. Read if you want to h
Another status update: Unfortunately the translations for the Eastern European languages have more or less stalled and some other are also moving slowly.
Currently unfinished languages are:
Czech (no significant work in recent weeks)
Greek (just started a few days ago with a single contributor)
Esperanto (started three weeks ago with a single contributor)
Finnish (started three weeks ago with a single contributor)
Hungarian (no significant work in recent weeks)
Italian (Menu texts complete, but a lot of game content is still missing, no significant work in recent weeks)
Polish (no significant work in recent weeks)
Romanian (no significant work in recent weeks)
Serbian (only an incomplete initial submission with no work done afterward)
Any of these languages could use some help. Help does not mean you have to do some extended work spanning days and weeks. Even if you just submitted single translations for empty fields here in this thread it'd reduce the remaining amount of work.

I had a long break during making translation for whole week without break so i couldn't do much. Also beacuse some IRL stuff too. I see someone else decided to help with polish translation. We could catch each other on discord or even here via forum and decide who does what part of translation. That would make things go faster

Like I said, at the moment there has not been any work on Polish for the last few weeks, so if you feel motivated to do something, I think for now you can just pick something you like.
The only recommendation I'd make is to skip the Strife dialogue unless all the rest is done. In terms of priority, the engine strings are most important, followed by the intermission and script text in the Game Strings file (up to line 470), followed by the Chex Quest tab and last the Strife dialogues which are by far the biggest block of text.

So: engine stuff -> games (except strife) -> chex -> strife
Got it. Soon i will have more time to finally start continuing this translation.

Correct. The Hacx and Harmony tabs are lowest priority because the fonts for those games aren't done yet.

I see that you updated GZDoom to Version g4.1.2. However the Intermission message is still borked up;
I'm sure i already updated the Spreadsheet and was approved by you. Did you forgot to import this to GZDoom?- Graf Zahl

This build was made by Rachael, but I think you are correct that it doesn't have a text update.
Re: Translating GZDoom's text content. Read if you want to h
I forgot about that, sorry. Since it doesn't require any executable changes, do you want me to just update the packages with the new files and push a new tag?
I went ahead and did that but the old packages are still available in the archive. The new ones have the update.

Also we're sure we already added the complete Translations for Harmony and Hacx, but the translation is still not in the GZDoom. Are you still considering about it?
Re: Translating GZDoom's text content. Read if you want to h
I'm sorry, but I can't, not for 4.1.2 anyway. There's a point where it gets to be too late to do that.
One thing I do not control is the build process for Mac and Linux. That is something I depend on others for, and if I keep moving the tags those builds will never get done, or they'll get done at the wrong point. At this point, 4.1.2 is set in stone. Sorry.
What we *can* do, however, is provide a new copy of zd_extra.pk3 with the extra translations done, as an optional download. That is something that works for all platforms, but before doing that I would like everything thoroughly checked to be sure that you didn't miss anything else.

The change is in gzdoom.pk3, not zd_extra.pk3.

Yeah... I though so. I'm deeply sorry for not being insightful. But as long as the Intermission Texts are functional, it's all normal. Again, i appreciate your extra update! And i can expect the Next Update in the futue, which it updates the Spreadsheet presumably.

Whoever’s unpinned the Remarks column: please don’t do that. It’s not there without a purpose, and translators of all languages can benefit from the details written there if they get stuck.

Re: Translating GZDoom's text content. Read if you want to h
Since Polish is again making progress it might be a good idea to fill in the 8 missing characters for the fonts that don't have them yet. So who does which?
Re: Translating GZDoom's text content. Read if you want to h
I’ll try to get around to the Polish font this weekend. With two workers, the translation shouldn’t take that long to complete.
