Here is a video showing my Hunter Total conversion. Hunter is a 1991 Amiga open-world game long before such things were en vogue ;)

OBJ. But I as far as I know, they don't support animations, so I will have to figure out how to export it to MD3, since I want opening animation.

You could do worse than give Maverick Model 3D a try (a continuation of Misfit 3D).

You can also do a two-actor approach with obj. Make the lid a separate actor, and set it's origin point to line up with the hinges. Then you can simply adjust its pitch :)

And funnily enough, that chest texture almost looks like... I mean has the same graphic style as Heretic. So yeah, nice job on the graphical work as well!
