While trying out g4.1pre-62-g89a11d1a9, I went into the player setup menu and noticed that the preview is cut off on 640x480 (GZDoom’s currently lowest supported resolution):
To remedy this (and for general aesthetic quality), my suggestion would be to move the player preview below the text. Check this out:

Re: Move player preview below text in player setup menu
Sorry. but that won't work with how these automated menus are implemented. Not all screen sizes provide enough space below the items and then scrolling becomes an issue.

What about the top, before every text item? Between "Player Setup" and "Name".Graf Zahl wrote:Not all screen sizes provide enough space below the items and then scrolling becomes an issue.
Just by looking at that image though, which is the lowest supported resolution, there is more than enough space to put the preview box, either at the top or bottom.
Any other variable introduced here - user resizing the window arbitrarily, or adding so many options that this menu has to be scrolled - just sounds like bad idea anyway.
Since the Player Setup menu is its own special class of menu, anyway, some special behaviour could be hardcoded in here: only the text elements scroll.

If Nash’s suggestion would work, that would be even better. From the top, it’d look like this:

Or just move the entirety of the menu (except "Player Setup") to the left a little.
