I made a submachine-gun. You can use it for whatever you want (just put my name in the credits), but the way I picture it is as a closed-bolt gun with a locked breech, using a tilting locking-block like a Walther P38 or Beretta 92 pistol, and the gun probably is in a caliber that's slightly more powerful than average service pistol rounds, such as .38 Super, or 9x25mm Mauser Export
I didn't bother to make a pickup sprite, but the way I figure the stock to look like would be similar to like on an 91/30 Mosin Nagant or a Winchester 94, a straight grip with no curve. I also figure it probably has a bayonet lug, overall a very old fashioned kind of gun, something you'd see like in the period between the first and second World Wars, being a bit over-engineered and expensive compared to later subguns.

The barrel, rear sight, 'stock socket', and receiver portions are based on Doom's Alpha and Beta rifle sprites, the magazine is basically drawn by hand, as is the stock, the charging handle comes from Hacx's pistol. The muzzleflash is based on the one from Shadow Warrior's Riot Shotgun.

For vehicles, it's not a bad idea to use sprites with 16 angles.
You can do that? Is it possible to implement 16 angles in ZDoom? Tell me more...

While relatively unintuitive, yes, you can do that - this wiki article has the info you seek.

Just needs some clean up and last poses (pain, custom death, missile).

Huh, looks like the .gif didn't embed, maybe the board doesn't allow direct embeds of .gifs, or maybe I did it wrong.
Well, people can just open the link I guess.

Bloody and Gorgeous!! Really loving the color scheme of this thing! Reminds me of that Bloody Rottweiler from Quake 1... Or maybe in real life!

Put together a pickup sprite for the subgun as well.
The travel for the bolt looks like it would be kind of short, and the bolt itself a bit small, but let's say there's a recoil buffer angled down into the stock, and that the bolt tows a sliding weight underneath the handguard.

That's a cool looking sprite in my humble opinion!

Maybe you could share some of the techniques you used for your sprites? :geek:
