Sorry if this really out of place here, but I don’t want to create a account anywhere just to know know the answer.
So the question is that I hear that silicone grease is great for spring-based blasters but are all silicone grease all the same? Mainly the ones labeled “for scuba divers”?

Re: Question about Nerf guns
Silicone grease is used to help seal o-rings, which Nerf guns are full of -- and the same can be said for scuba gear. I'd suspect that you'd be quite fine using any sort of brand. Just do your research into what brand is the best for the price you're willing to spend. There's other alternatives such as white lithium grease and silicone spray (Such as WD-40 Specialist). From very quick research I've gathered, lithium grease is probably the best to use: safer on plastics and metal bits. But given that it's a white grease, it'll show up easier on exposed parts. That's probably where you'd want to use a silicone grease, where they tend to be transparent. Best thing I can say, and others here will say, is to experiment. Have fun modding your blaster!

Re: Question about Nerf guns
I recommend white lithium grease over silicone grease,as it has worked better in my experience Nerf modding.
Edit:
A spring upgrade along with lubricant can help alot too, as well as removing the air restriction mechanism on older guns.
