Reverb Sector Plays Modified Ambient Sound Globally
Here I'm using Enjay's WaterSound.pk3 as an example. When an ambient sound's 'heard distance' is modified in GzdoomBuilder, it can be heard globally in sectors with reverb effects. If left to its default parameter, it fades normally.
