Re: Lambda - HD Models Poll at 1st post
When I saw the screenshots for this I wasn't sure if it was a mod for Half-life that added in DOOM levels or a mod for DOOM that added in half-life weapons.

That's when you know a mod is done well.Crackers0106 wrote:When I saw the screenshots for this I wasn't sure if it was a mod for Half-life that added in DOOM levels or a mod for DOOM that added in half-life weapons.
Congratulations, you have included near entire Half-Life in 10mb file. I love it.

From what i remember, i'm pretty sure in the original HL Revolver ammo was rare due to how powerful it was, maybe make it so it usually spawns shotguns and shotgun ammo, but rarely have it spawn revoler and revolver ammo?
Re: Lambda - HD Models Poll at 1st post
Revolver functions as your primary weapon in this MOD because it isn't as strong as its HL counterpart due to the enemies being tougher in Doom. The ammo drops are in a good spot right now IMO.el armadillo2 wrote:From what i remember, i'm pretty sure in the original HL Revolver ammo was rare due to how powerful it was, maybe make it so it usually spawns shotguns and shotgun ammo, but rarely have it spawn revoler and revolver ammo?

Also, i noticed that the Revolver slot is before the Glock. I think you should fix this.
Also, i think the DM weapons settings are broken. It doesn't change what they say when you use them and it's confusing.

can you fix some of the weapon animations some of them are a little... strange, if you notice on the pistol and machine gun the weapon clips appear at the bottom of the screen and just float into hand then the hand grabs the floating clip and puts it in the gun.
Re: Lambda - HD Models Poll at 1st post
Any chance of a hotfix update with the small changes made that were previously discussed?

For some reason, the options for the Deathmatch upgrades are kind of bugged. Will there be a possible fix for this?

Hey, so I have been replaying this mod and it seems that there isn't any way to get the shotgun in Ultimate Doom. Is there a way that maybe you could maybe have it so that the shotgun is randomly spawned in the same slot as the magnum, except maybe make either the magnum or the shotgun a rare drop?

Try "summon supershotgun" in the console.lizardcommando wrote:Hey, so I have been replaying this mod and it seems that there isn't any way to get the shotgun in Ultimate Doom. Probably late to the party, but in my opinion Opposing Force Redux models are better, they look more fresh and modern.

Re: Lambda - [Poll Closed]
Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of updates and reponses during past months, i have beeng pretty bussy doing nothing with my lazyness duh
came here to tell the mod is very near to a release, i just have to finish some minor details and decide what to do with some stuff
One thing i want to say is that i have been working on the weapon menu script, it's not finished and i don't have the enough motivation to finish it and i don't want to keep holding the mod because of that, maybe i'll finish it in the upcoming updates
but still pretty functional, it only lacks the mouse wheel (or next/prev item) support and you can still highlight a weapon even if you don't have ammo
as for the hd models, all of the half-life one are done, and i have decided to use the classic ones with the updated hands for the op4 versions, already have a few of them done, i'll probably release them like a week or two after releasing the main mod.
that being said, hopefully (and i really hope) i'll be back with some solid news like in a week or two (maybe less but i doubt it)
here have some more pics to fill this post:

Spoiler:ah, before i forget: the shotgun will now replace the shotgun as expected, the 357 will replace the supershotgun
as for the options in the menu:
Latch CVars (the ones that only applies when starting a new game) won't really work as expected in the main menu (Engine limitations);
They won't seem to change but they actually do when you start a new game!
Alternatively you can write 'Endgame' in the console, this will end your game and show the console background, then try changing them again from the menu.
other thing you can do is changing them manually from the console, here are the currently available latch cvars:
hl_dmguns: Enables deathmatch modification on weapons such as Laser sight for the 357, explosive arrows for the crossbow, etc.
0: Automatic
1: Forcefully Enabled
2: Disabled
hl_dmbalance: Reduces the amounts of damage done by weapons, this was meant to be used in deathmach but nobody plays deathmatch in gzdoom...
0: Automatic
1: Forcefully Enabled
2: Disabled

Re: Lambda - [Poll Closed]
Oh, this is some exciting news. It's good to see that you can adjust the damage done by the weapons. They felt pretty weak in single player.
Re: Lambda - [Poll Closed]
Excellent!
