i attempted to play the public beta release of phantombeta's mod and got the following error:
This is aparently not the mod's fault as i asked the autor about it and i already tested if it was conficting with other add-on mods i had at the time.

What is your GPU and what version of GZDoom are you using? And where is a link to the mod?

Please provide some information or this has to be closed. The problem is specific to your system so we have to know what kind of hardware and driver you use.

I asked him a few days ago what his CPU is.
While this does not say the GPU's model, he's using the processor's integrated GPU, so one can easily find it through ARK.
His CPU has an Intel HD Graphics 4400, which supposedly supports OpenGL 4.3.

Total stab in the dark, but is this some locale-specific issue?

Re: Fatal error: 0:23 'std430' shader
I suspect that this is a combination of a bad driver with incomplete checks when to allow shadowmap compilation.
I have seen it before on Intel that they report support for certain extensions but then miss a few crucial parts. If I am correct this uses a GL 4.2 driver which reports all needed extensions but omits one important part they also require: std430 layout. If shadowmaps are turned off the error should go away, I think - this system is far too slow anyway to handle them,.
