ANOTHER Duke mod for Doom.

It all starts with a shotgun.

Seeing how flexible GZDoom is, I think it's high time to make a mod for it.
The theme - Duke Nukem. Encompassing all manner of nods to Duke3d and Duke Nukem Forever. So far scheduled as an item/monster/weapon mod - eventually moving onto maps! Though hardly original, it'll all be modeled and somewhat high-resolution!

Many more polygons per krundle to follow. For now, it all starts with a shotgun.

It's not Duke without the mighty foot! Both melee options under different keys - So you can melee like it's DNF, Classic Duke or a mixture of the two depending on your mood.

...Soooo, 3d-modeled enemies?! If so, then that's very ambitious! Would absolutely love to see this happen, especially with more of these model-based weapon mods popping up (talking about you and your amazing Unreal mod, @Marisa Kirisame). Because while 3d weapons are fun to use, and speaking personally here, using them against sprite-based enemies feels a little off. Either way, this looks pretty badass so far.

Video looks very promising! I would like to see full DN3D with 3D enemies like JDoom or Zrift, UT99mod, etc

Oh, just a little idea there : Maybe this project should be a "weapons/items" only mod.

Because at the moment, there's no Duke Nukem-Themed mod of this type, and be able to play as the Duke, with many compatible mods, would be a must. It's just a proposition, thought.

By the way, the weapons you just showed right now are superb!

Heh, have the Super Shotgun slot be a dual wield of teh shotgun and M16. :D

Those pics are amazing! Love the reflective lighting on the golden pistol. Always loved Duke Golden M1911 piece.
