When Enjay starts to rant it gets funny!

It wasn't really intended to be a rant, but I guess it did sort of turn out that way.

IMO it's time to close this thread or move it to another forum. As a feature suggestion it is worthless but if some people here are intent on discussing it further I think this is the wrong place for it.

Which begs the question - is there any system for moving the suggestions on? Once we've kicked it around and knocked the stuffing out of it - what then?

Even a second "Randy's considered this" forum where Randy uses, I dunno, [yes] [no] and [maybe] tags in the title? That way there would be some feedback and we'd know whether any particular suggestion was being considered or not.

I seriously(tm) can't think of ANY use for this. There could be a check for wad updates but that shouldn't happen in the wad via ACS.

I nolonger want the wad to update, I just want the online scoreboard. That ZSteam idea is scary!

Even the online scoreboard is totally impracticable if you think what's needed for it.

Considering that you need a web server for it to work it will limit it to a rather small amount of mappers. Considering even more that many players here don't care about stuff like this makes it a rather unappealing feature. And now considering that this 'feature' suggests that each mapper has to code this shit for himself makes it DOA.

End result: Forget it! It's a total waste of time.
