You look like a postmodern Icelandic superhero.

The name Lord Buckethead's already taken, I'm afraid.

Oh uh, looks like we were all celebrating too quickly: https://juliareda.eu/eu-copyright-reform/
"Next, the entire Parliament will vote on July 5, 2018 whether to rubber-stamp the committee’s result. If it doesn’t, the debate is re-opened, and there is one more chance to make changes to the proposals at the next plenary meeting in September.
After closed-door compromise negotiations between the institutions, the Parliament will have to approve the result one final time."
This hasn't actually been rejected, they will merely alter the law and then vote on it again in a couple of months. Considering that the law just barely got rejected this time it seems unlikely they won't be able to get it to pass with a small tweak.
Well the feelings of happiness were nice while they lasted

Well I don't know if I had put the bucket on if I had seen the part where it said the vote wasn't actually final and that they intend to vote on it again anyway in a couple of months. I thought the law had simply been rejected, but it turns out that isn't the case.Rachael wrote:Agreed.Lud wrote:You delivered? Mad respect, man.
We will see what happens in september, but in the meantime I am going back into pessimism mode.

Whoa, hehe... It's curious, but at first I thought that was a (very) low-cost Darth Vader cosplay...

Just a brief reminder that the second vote is tomorrow and that we only have 1 more day to try and stop this madness.

Re: Well I guess I will have to keep my word...
In the event that this passes, do you think it might be a good idea to gather all the important online Doom sources into a downloadable file so that modders can "stockpile" information so that not all is lost?

I think you're thinking too much about this and need to go somewhere else for a while.hardcore_gamer wrote:In the event that this passes, do you think it might be a good idea to gather all the important online Doom sources into a downloadable file so that modders can "stockpile" information so that not all is lost?
