The world map is great too(SMB3/SMW styled), but it makes me wonder if there are any secret levels which can appear in the map, or just can be accessed through normal levels?
There are secret level exits. expecialy in the ghost house demos. but i don't know if they act as short-cuts on the map or they access special levels or both. i need to play it to be sure.

1. IIRC, there were two places in GS1 where green armor was placed. Also, checkpoints in GS2 (there are two in every level) give 25 armor bonuses upon contact.
2. I took from the demos that stronger monsters drop more coins.
Thanks ;)

1) Armor is only obtainable by buying it from a shop or clearing a checkpoint flag (+25 armor per flag)
2) Yes
3) I always support the latest version, which as of now is 3.4.1
Thanks ^_^

btw since we all know there will be tons of coins, will be bad if the store also sell, tips and/or hints for the big coins or extra secrets?? I finished the level 1-1 but i miss 1 big coin :P and since we r talking about big coins why it doesnt have a proper display? u can add it on top of the health and armor in a shiny and new golden color : Big coins remains = 5 and if there other items that will work too :D

Anyway congrats on ur new mod and hope see more amazing work coming from ur oven ;)

Shy Guys, hammer bro-skinned Hell Knights, that first boss(died like 3 times against him), the spider house, and not to mention the great physics which feel even greater than the first Golden Souls megawad.

Either way, i'm having a blast with this one, and hoping to post here my full impression once i'll finish it.
Thank you very much! :)

Yes, there are unlockable secret levels you get by clearing secret exits. Usually it's not shortcuts, but alternate paths or dead ends with a specific level required for 100% completion, or other special levels which might give you some useful stuff.

While interesting, that would take a lot of effort to code, especially now that the whole mod is completed.
What do you mean? There is a display in each level that shows you the coins you still have to obtain.

The golden hunting shotgun fires 40 pellets with altfire, but only 30 in total with primary, 20 from left and 10 from right barrel, intentional?

Edit: Just noticed that GS2 has German quit messages, heh :)

No, good catch, will be fixed in the next patch (Which will come out at some point after gathering enough feedback from these post-release days)

As long as no map or ACS script changes, our savegames are safe :p

Not bad so far. I love the presentation and the visuals of this mod. It's a tougher mod than it looks lol. Although, I do feel like there is a lack of health pick ups in some levels and I'm only playing on the default difficulty setting.

All in all though, excellent job with this mod and I'm happy that it has finally been released!

Just entered the 2nd zone and I've already maxed out ammo and coins...nothing to spend them on apart from restoring full health/armour between maps.
(this is on skill 5 btw)

edit: just noticed they give health when maxed out...nice touch, but now I'm maxed on health too ><

edit: portable meds in shop 2 has just eaten half of them...I shall keep you informed ;)

Something's wrong. I think the third Big Coin in Siloette Sunset is a trap; once you reach it, it doesn't seem possible to get out without cheating.

I add a more Mario and Nintendo feel to the Golden Souls 2 with the MarioDoom.pk3.
Just remember to load MarioDoom.pk3 first.

I made a shortcut and it loads with this - gzdoom.exe" -file MarioDoom.pk3 GoldenSouls2_1.0.pk3

Great job on this mod, so far I have enjoyed it.

*Played more with adding MarioDoom.pk3 it mess up how high you jump. >:( Sorry

Whoa, You’re working on a Mario addon for this too? I was planning one using the stuff from my Mario player replacement mod. How far are you with it? Just out of curiosity.

I may start making an addon to this based on an old MarioDoom.pk3 I had already.
I am having issues with adding MarioDoom.pk3 with The Golden Souls 2. Mario will not just as high as you can without adding MarioDoom.pk3. So it is hard to make some jumps.

Just going to play around with something and I'll post back. I would like this to feel more like a mario game.

I really wanted to talk about the platforming, but since I did it with a trackpad, I don't think my anger with my navigation is rightfully deserved. Just about everything else is fantastic, and would love to just dump all my thoughts once I get them organized better, maybe in a video for convenience.

At least the stationary flowers are easier to kill now. Before it was ludicrously tedious. Now it's just... normally tedious?
