Prologue
Angst Rahz Revenge, a 1996 FPS game which became slightly famous for it's shittyness.
Considered by some reviewers as:
"one of the worst FPS shooters of that era" BobbyLeChimp
"the Cheetamen 2 of FPS shooters" TheSeriousCacodemon
Awfully, it never managed to have a proper DOOM remake, and i've seen some other bad first person shooters being remade in DOOM engine in a pretty cool way!

The big idea
That's why together with two other people:
Me: Plot, Map ideas, 3d models
UncleUrban (doesn't have Zdoom account): Weapon spriting, Coding
Lolimpire (same): Mapping
we are working on a proper remake! this is a pre-alpha, but you can already see the improvements

Searching for help
Unfortunately, we are stuck into a problem!
UncleUrban tried to make the enemies as clay models, this was the result:

i leave to the single users the judging of this sprite.

And so we need help for making proper enemy sprites, more similar to Doom styled ones (just like the weapons). in a few words we need an enemy/player spriter.

But why don't you guys start with Known monster placeholders? I am pretty sure most users won't mind that until you guys properly replace with the desired works. Frankenspriting monsters would be cool as well (i dig the weapons A LOT! Loved these ideas).

Of course, i am not coordenating this, but, speaking as a player, i wouldn't mind playing this soon :D

well, as placeholders we can use the original Angst sprites for now, or at least some other stuff since some of those sprites are pretty shitty.
but yeah, i should advise the two guys about not going too fast.

i proposed to try to use prerendered 3d models as i tried to do a long time ago, but the author doesn't want to go that way.

Some of the hand drawn Angst sprites are actually pretty alright looking and I think they could be kept, but I agree, the ones rendered from 3d models suck.

the problem with those is that they don't have all the rotation frames.
also, for the ones rendered from 3d models i didn't meant the original ones.
once upon a time i tried to recreate them, this is one of those

i agree anyway that hand drawn sprites would be better, considering that also the weapons are hand-drawn.
also for now we are setting down some ideas for the levels.

New update video for Angst Rahz Revenge remake, showing all the weapons roster.

but now we have another problem.
our original mapper went away because he didn't wanted to work on a Total Conversion, though it was implied that it was a TC!
we had a discussion with him and he gave us the middle finger for some reason.
what we need is a new mapper. it would be really appreciated if you try to help us, since both of us are not really great mappers.

I Want to help, but to be honest I'm a little new mapping, but i know the game Angzt, was a little horrible spriting but, the atmosphere was very creppy...
So i was using DoomBuilder 1 And 2 But I dont know if you wanna use GZDoomBuilder or The classic one.
By the way very cool demo

We are using GZdoom Builder for the maps.
