Is there any way that a vanilla wad in gz could do this?
Say if something required a vanilla trick to end a level, is there any way zdoom without compatibility turned on (defaults) would make it unfinishable? (Apart from arvhvile or pain elemental bugs)

That question is way too unspecific to answer.

Even with compatibility set to vanilla there are surely ways to make sure a wad works properly only on doom2.exe and the ports that are demo-compatible with it. What is the point of the question?
