Where are shadow map and SSAO settings?

Really want to try these out with my gtx 1070 because:

If you want to talk performance, the features that really need some power are SSAO and shadowmaps. Those may benefit from a 1080.
Also, are tonemaps basically HDR? They just seem to change colours for me (though I do have a HDR monitor)

Portals with AO?

What maps benefit from these the most, I'm guessing things like blade of agony and not vanilla levels?

And finally, can I make the options menu/text really small? It would be helpful in trying to see the difference between all these options without taking screenshots.

SSAO stands for screen space ambient occlusion and the menu option is probably called Ambient Occlusion.

Tonemaps aren't HDR. They just change the colors. GZDoom does not have any HDR monitor support.

Are tonemaps meant to cause a performance hit?
